Can't plant humanboard

I managed to plant the humanboard once and then recalled it. I went to plant it again by walking up to the hole with bones in it, and I just cannot get the humanboard to plant. ENA just tosses it up over and over, no matter my positioning or anything... Anyone else having this issue?

i havent had this problem (and u mightve tried this already) but i think looking at the hole directly while placing it might help?
