idk what else you'd expect if you've watched the youtube series. felt like a pretty accurate representation of that to me. maybe you're going in expecting something different than what it is?

While this is a harsh opinion, given that it is a visually stunning game, I do agree with some points. It is normal for this to create a big impact on an audience that may not be used to surrealism, and it is a different way of approaching a story, but for me there are other games of this style that deliver much more, but that does not make this a big surprise for the indie market.

Any reason for it being boring? ENA Dream BBQ was a very entertaining game to play through, and in my honest opinion I think it executed pretty much everything nearly perfectly for its first chapter. The story sets itself up nice, and its just a joy reading Joel G's writing and learning about the world through the abstract dialogue and set pieces. Frankly, I don't really see how you could get bored in this game? Every inch of this game is crawling and bleeding with personality, and it's hard to miss the love that was so obviously poured into this. Every character is a joy to interact with, and I completely fell in love with some of them, especially Froggy. There's always something to be doing as well; you're either progressing the story, doing fun and whimsical side quests, exploring, or just sitting there and breathing in/picking apart the world around you. Not saying you aren't entitled to your own opinion; you are entirely allowed to be bored by this game. I'm simply confused as to how you would be bored by this game, and am curious as to what your reasoning is.

If you're actually curious, he doesn't understand what the characters are saying and he didn't find the nonsense entertaining. He complained about "modern analogies in western media" in another post and I instantly clocked him as the kind of fellow that doesn't have the narrative literacy skills to understand ENA dialogue and environments, and predictably, he doesn't like the game as a result because it seems pointless.

It's used when you're speaking form the perspective of someone else using their words for example :

Yes, you quoted it and then complained about it, if you weren't american you'd have been taught in school that that means you disagree with the statement and that everyone reading your post will see it as such.
