Dialogue Animation Bug

Game seems really good so far, but I cant play further at the moment because of this bug. Unfortunately whenever a 2d animation plays for dialogue encounters (and only dialogue) the animations struggle to play, and the captions dont appear. The background is all still running smoothly meanwhile, but the animations themselves refuse to play. I tried changing resolution and it helped a little bit, but they still didnt play properly. If it helps the game is installed on a D: drive and not a C: drive, in case anyone thinks thats the problem. If anyone can help, thank you!

Edit: Hey all! If you're having this problem, the latest update gave us a fix! There's a new video setting that lowers the quality of the animations, which allowed me to play a whole run uninterrupted! Yipee!

I'm having this same problem. I hope there's a fix on the way cause otherwise I can't play the game like this (especially when subtitles are necessary to understand what's being said at times, but the subtitles aren't playing)

having the same problem here, i've tried pausing for a bit to allow it to catch up but that can only do so much to fix the issue.

Same issue here. I'd love to play more but all I hear is dialogue but the animation is frozen and can't play. Hope they get it done soon!

800x600 resolution fix it for me, but i not gonna play the game at 800x600

I had the same issue with it on my ass PC, tried changing the resolution and playing in windowed and it worked! hope it does for anyone reading

Welp it only worked through one cutscene and then changing the resolution seemed to fix it again but thats a lot of work.

Having the same issue. Reducing the resolution helped a little but it’s still pretty bad.
