level 15 helicopter minikit?

so the last minikit I need in the game is the one inside the helicopter in level 15 (heroes unite)
I destroyed the gold door. but I can't get to it. the game is acting like either the door is still there, or the the character does not fit through it.

I watched a few videos of this on Youtube, and it seems like you just have to be a little persistent. I had trouble getting it myself until I switched to Wonder Woman (don't know if that helps or not) and just kept trying to fly through that space, and eventually I got it.

I flew to the further side of the helicopter, up under the blades, and after three or four attempts, through the cabin picking up the minikit on the way out again.
