How to get rid of blinking "Press F2 or any button to start" text?

How does it bother you?

1 use hex editor such as HxDSetup

2 use it to open Game0.dat

3 find all instances of "press F2 or any button to start" (use CTRL-F)

4 highlight all of the text inbetween the quotes but not the quotes themselves

5 notice how the numbers to the left are now selected

6 click just to the left of the first set of numbers

7 type C2 A0 22 2C

8 now select after the red comma of "A ", and press the space bar until you get to "Apuyez sur f2" and stop so that phrase is still there and your curser is resting against the first "

9 save

10 open appmanifest_285160.acf in steam library/steamapps (drive D for the hobbit ATM)

11 find "AutoUpdateBehavior" and change the '0' to a '1'

12 save

13 mark the file as 'read-only'
