Can't Pick New Items Because It Skips Every Time

New to the game, playing on a XBOX controller, game works fine, I've checked all of the button bindings and followed the advice pinned here to disable the accidental dual controller inputs..

Having one annoying problem, after rounds when I can pick items (not the shop), I immediately get a "Skipped" message at the bottom of the screen and it moves me along to the next stage.....What am I missing?

One of your buttons is getting automatically pressed and forcefully skipping the item pickup screen. Try disabling the toggle for Playstation controllers, someone else had the same issue as well.

how do you do that? i have the same issue but have no idea how to disable the toggle

maybe unplug other controllers or usb stuff.
check if it happends with keyboard only after controllers unplugged
or with controller with keyboard unplugged.

if you got no controller, maybe need to reset controlls or clean your keyboard
