Any tips for Turbulent Winds?
I'm a mouse and keyboard player, and the Turbulent Winds debuff is probably the most frustrating mechanic in the game. It's not even that hard objectively, but it feels so punishing to play with for what seems no real increase in gameplay depth - just frustration. It makes movement feel horrible and you just have to sit there to watch yourself get hit if you didn't move right.

Is there any trick I'm missing here, or are there any classes with good ways to just avoid the debuff?

You can hold down Focus to move about half-distance during it. Vanish (and maybe Super?) will suppress it. Heavyblade's spin will dash through it normally.
Good luck though, it's still frustrating.

Try the greatsword and see if you can gap close with their invuln. It's a slide in ice mechanic in ffxiv so turbulent wind is kinda weird here, should've just kept the ice thing but oh well.

It's real weird at first, but you get a feel for how far you move in turbulent winds eventually. It works better with a controller. Keyboard probably sucks to use for it.

For the most part, use Focus (hold shift) for shorter jumps, use diagonals for even shorter jumps roughly towards a direction or for dodging a vertical or horizontal laser. You are free to use any attack, even those with significant slowdown issues, as turbulent wind will negate any slowdown from them and most turbulent wind bosses tend to stay close to you and let you upkeep maximum damage during the effect regardless of your positioning.

The biggest thing for me to realize was you can stay still. You do not have to move. Very important for the wolf that does the 4 squares.

Also don't use mouse movement for wind fights. The arrow keys are way easier to work with.
