Kunoichi hood clarification
Does kunoichi hood impact dots? What about bleeds? For example, will attacks against bleeding targets only add an additional 15 damage from kunoichi hood, or 65 damage (15 + the 50 from loot damage)? Apologies if this has been asked before, I did a quick search and didn't see anything.

Dots are from debuffs which are unaffected by that item. If it doesn't specifically say debuffs or all damage than that indicates not effected.

Pretty sure it does. My poisons and stuff do insane damage with that thing lol

I tested in toybox, it doesn't work with either of those.

Ivy staff normally does 30 poison damage, so kunoichi hood isn't helping it.

Used youkai bracelet to eliminate randomness, so wizard primary does exactly 295 damage per shot (200 base, +40% from bracelet, then +15 from kunoichi hood). Bleed is adding 28 damage to that (20 base, +40% from bracelet). So hood isn't helping it either.

phantom already answered you, but hey, if you wanted screenshots, there you go.

Thanks all for the responses. I assumed as much, but couldn't say for certain. <3

While Kunoichi Hood does not increase damage from debuffs placed by items, Darkcloud Necklace (damage from loot is increased by 50%) does, with the exception of burns from the Flame set for some reason.

Because burn already scales with whatever the attack that placed it scales with technically.

Guess I was wrong, my B

Witch's Cloak increases burn damage, though, so burns are capable of scaling outside of increasing the initial attack's damage. Why wouldn't Darkcloud Necklace do the same?

Witch's cloak is specifically debuff damage only. Darkcloud increases loot damage. It would be double dipping on the fire bow. It'd go from 360 damage total (180 shot + 180 burn) to 675 (270 shot + 405 burn). I'm guessing behind the scenes the way witch's cloak and dark cloud are implemented necessitates this. Whether that is enough of a reason is up to debate but it is what it is.
Burn really doesn't need help anyway. It's one of the better status effects since it can actually scale with items that don't specifically target status damage. Poison and spark are the ones that need help. They're just ok early on (and against specific enemies in spark's case) but they fall off hard in comparison to burn, bleed(especially in parties), curse, and even ghost flame and obviously not as good as builds that buff primary, secondary, or special (which also buff burn).

I was mainly talking about Volcano Spear / Reddragon Blade / Meteor Staff, actually. But now that you mention it, you might be right. it's probably better this way to prevent Bow double dipping.

It was not a matter of whether burn needs help, but rather of logical consistency between items, or if something could be perceived as a bug.
"This item affects all these other items, except these ones which should logically be affected (because they are the exact same but say "Burn" instead of "Poison"), but they're not."
