It's not a single player game. Is there anything preventing you from using the online co-op feature?
Arguable, since there are a decent number of trinkets that require solo area/full clears.
I wouldn't argue that it's better with others though.
in terms of difficulty, there is something to be said about how due to how the scaling is (the devs posted it here, somewhere) it is argubly easier to do it with 4 people then 1 (assuming you dont keep killing eachother) but it should also be doable on at least hard solo, as i do that myself.
Literally has a story mode only available in single player
I kind of wish character unlocks were on Normal difficulty instead of Hard. That feels like a pretty herculean mountain to climb at this point. Hard feels like Extreme for FFXIV. I can imagine that Lunar is effectively Savage.
Co-Op seems to be the way to go if you want to achieve anything worthwhile.
Imo hard will usually just enrage if you don't do things properly / forget your ABC,
and on lunar things will enrage sometimes just due to not getting any useful items even if you do all mechanics the right way, especially if you go melee and have less dps uptime on some bosses going back/forth
Sometimes the game's RNG takes a big ol' dump on us with bad items and bad skill upgrade choices that don't synergize at all with those items. I've become less and less happy with the items I find as I unlock more sets. The early stuff we get are straightforward power boosts. The later stuff is full of double edged crap that almost always hurts more than it helps except in that one specific situation for one class (ie dancer with 99s cooldown special taking the items which boost damage based on special cooldown).
Not really a fan that it just seems like bullet hell only with minimal MMO stuff in solo.
So far all I've seen are "get in the circle", "bound in place", and "teleports you to x spot" and everything else is just bullet hell spam.
Like, I was expecting more from the game.
Sarbe is right. This kind of rng problem is bad, artificial difficulty and should be changed.
