to be fair: they specifically said they only draw boys a few times a year.
not wanting to draw guys doesn't mean anything in either direction about post release content.
no real answer either way unless the dev shows up but still
edit: misquoted, whoops
There's a few small things that I want to add soon after launch. Mostly highly requested features that would be easy to add, but I just didn't have time for (like Discord rich presence and a sandbox-play-with-items mode).
After that I'll play it by ear! I definitely have a lot more ideas for content, if I'm able to work on it.
I did say "maybe next time" for bunny boys specifically because it would be a lot of work (10 animations for cosmetics sake), and if I were going to spend time on that I feel my time would be better spent making brand new classes or items or bosses or something. If I were going to have something like a gender option, it's something I would have wanted to plan for when I started making the game.
...Plus, since I basically only draw girls, all the enemies in the game are also girls. So maybe having a bunch of playable anime dudes who go around beating up women would be a bad look!
But as for post-launch content, I'll let you know my plans post-launch!
Maybe if the community were to make good quality bunny boys (in the same style of the game), would you add it as an option in the game?
The idea of having bunny dude in this game is equal to idea of having dude character in touhou game. Not being sexist, but the game is cater to specific audience, better please some people than trying to please all but no one happy.
I could see mino_dev adding them as alternate palettes for the pre-existing classes. So that way if you don't want to play as a bunny boy, you don't have to.
I'd also like to see non humanoid bosses. I know the final raid wing bosses turn into animals, but more Final Fantasy-ish bosses would be cool.
