Tips for Churchmouse area boss hard mode?

I'm having a bit of trouble with the section of this fight and I just can't seem to live long enough through it to figure out what I should be doing.

This is the part pre-transform when you get the detonating cubes and the mouse does knockback + slow on you repeatedly. It's just after the part where you have to dodge in a figure 8 pattern between 4 pathing balls to make it to a safe zone.

I'm generally fine up to that point and don't get hit, but trying to figure out how to position myself for the knockback to not get hit either by the explosions or other shots is rough, I find I have very little time to think about where I should be moving. Any tips for this part?

hard to help by describing it. what you can do (if playing solo) is just pause it and take a moment to look at whats happening till you learn the pattern

What you should do is look at where your initial knockback is and run all the way to the wall in the same direction. You should ignore the vertical stack line it "wants" you to be in, such that the knockback puts you as far as you can go on that side of the screen. You should then use your defensive to invuln through the projectiles from that vertical stack line. Afterwards, you dont need to move at all, the knockbacks will make it so it dodges the mechanics for you.

I honestly don't have any clue how to do this without the first invuln, but after that it becomes free.

Best advice I can give is to get directly on top of the leftmost edge of the box she makes in the middle of the screen and then keep doing microadjustments to be right on the edge of the laser the box nearest to you is going to make. If everything goes well you should keep getting pushed right and left while not getting hit by any of the lasers.

After a few days of trying finally got the boss. Both Golden Truth and Derin_Darkpaw's tricks work but you don't need to use your defensive if you do it Derin's way.

I know exactly what phase you're talking about and boy does the game fail to properly telegraph what the player is supposed to do here.

Took me like 7 tries to figure out a partial solution.
