If you're struggling with the DPS check on Tassha, keep in mind you only need to aim for the gigantic circle around her and her clones and hitting multiple targets deals more damage.
If you're having trouble with Merran's cleaves in her second phase, you're probably moving too early. Wait for the attack to actually clear before trying to position out of the way of the next one and wait for her to cross before taking a swing.
Similar setups can be found on Heavyblade and Ancient.
So one of those 3 would be my advice.
I'd avoid assassin/brawler/sniper/spellblade for having issue's hitting vertically which you mentioned was an issue. They also have no real circle aoe which is very helpful in a lot of fights. Not to say they are bad and can't beat hard, but for learning they make it much more difficult.
Ruby is easiest once you know it, arsenal isn't much harder and is easier to learn.
I'd suggest doing ruby because it's the hardest of those three to scrub your way through without knowing if you get it second or third in your winning run. Scholar's nest is the easiest zone by far, though.
My eye always didn't notice the stop/keep moving when processing other stuff such as shape/color matching and evading.
Seems like arsenal will be easier for processing practice.
I had never experienced the boss enrage timer but I have deep fear due to effort focusing more on survival than dps
As long as there's at least one other person who's competent, DPS won't be an issue. Spam your fast long-range attack that doesn't have slowdown and completely focus on dodging. As long as you didn't kill someone else, everyone will be happy.
If you intend to learn it in PUG lobbies (not singleplayer), don't rely on invulnerability frames. Don't just go outside and vanish because all the rest of your teammates will die (or you force them to relocate which reduces their DPS). Making an attempt to move vs. just standing there makes a lot of difference in your learning.
Normal run without relying defensive for survival is already no problem.
Want ask another tips for hard beater.
When you playing, where do your eye looking?
I suppose we usually look at the "possible mechanic spawn location" ?
Do you look at yourself in order to know the certain key skill become available?
Example looking at yourself to know the mage/dancer special is success reset
Most of the time, though, you're probably just looking at the field and working out where the safe zone is. In multiplayer I also spend a lot of time looking at where the other players are going and gauge what they like to do so I don't put my fields on where they're going and avoid theirs.
Dragons (and wolf cleaves) have the only mechanics that don't spawn on the player, anyway.
Hard is very forgiving on DPS unless your class is gimped, notwithstanding that if you have good DPS you don't have to ever see some of the more difficult patterns.
I only managed to win Scholar Nest and King Arsenal on each individual separated run (hard).
It only help if I keep retrying same level when having advantage of short term memories helping me
its also about getting used to it, going from normal it means you are used to 2 maybe 3 mechs at each given time
on hard difficulty its always at least 3 to 4 mechs, you need to get used to this ammount of information before being able to beat the lvl, it takes a lot of practice and racionalization about each given attack in order to dodge it, after some time that mode will start to get easier and easier
Edit: Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfeL4Af-PfQ
Most classes have at least one braindead build (although whether you get it is up to RNG). Examples are infinite Special spam Spellsword, Abyssal Rage Brawler, auto-Special Dancer, etc. I don't actually recommend Assassin for first Hard clear despite how tempting long invincibility/high movement speed is, as it's harder to obtain brainless builds for them than other classes.
