Rabbit and Steel
The game didnt install with the save files. (I think)
Nothing will save, no progression or settings either. When I look in the appdata/local files, I don't have the RabbitSteel folder like everyone else does. I tried to download it from someone else computer to see if adding the files there myself would work, but it didn't. It might be because I originally installed the game to a different hard drive, but I've never had this issue before with other games. :(

It won't have a save file until you start it at least once, if that's what you mean.
I was playing it for quite a bit, I have 4.6 hours in it and 7 achievements. After looking around for a while I think its because it doesnt have a location to save to?

It normally saves to
C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\RabbitSteel

Does a save file not exist there?
Nope, not even the RabbitSteel folder exists.
On windows 10,
Go to Windows Security page
Virus & threat protection
Protection history
Make sure anything steam related or the game related isn't being blocked here. If they are, allow them.
Thank you for the recommendation, there wasnt anything there though.
I had the same issue where RabbitSteel was not in my AppData\Local. I got it to work by running Steam as admin and then running Rabbit & Steel as admin.
Thank you so much this actually worked. No matter what I looked up online I'm surprised something like this is the answer!
You're welcome! I had a follow-up issue too where the Steam Cloud wasn't syncing without opening up Steam in admin mode. (Windows 11) To fix this, I went to AppData\Local\RabbitSteel and modified its folder permissions by:

1. Right-click on RabbitSteel and open up 'Properties'
2. Go to 'Security' tab and click on 'Advanced'
3. I turned off inheritance through the 'Disable Inheritance' button
4. Next, I added my User to the permissions via clicking on 'Change permissions'
5. Then, I clicked 'Add', 'Select a principal', 'Object Types...', marked just 'Users', entered my Windows User name manually into the 'Enter the object name to select' text field, hit 'Check Names' which updates the name, then hit 'OK'
6. With my Windows User added to the 'Permission entries', I clicked it, hit 'Edit', and then hit 'Full control' to give it all the permissions, then 'OK'.
7. Hit 'OK' on all the windows, and then opened Steam and no longer had the Steam Cloud sync error pop-up anymore.
