Realistically almost anything works since all Dancer abilities get gems to do almost all possibilities. Multi hit items, single hit items, only primary/secondary and even the items that slow are really good since you get a defensive gem that nullifies all speed penalties.
Just avoid the crown item that resets your special cooldown on a reset proc. You pick that up you're never using your special again.
I would agree with the above that the 99cd ult is very strong because of the item synergies it opens up. Also anything that does damage when %chance activates is very good as well. Then you have the generally good things that give flat damage to your attacks since primary and secondary are both multihit. Dancer has a lot of options.
