all of them should have keyboard/mouse support, this is a pc platform....
the first 2 games are likely roms and emulated, did they make the emulator? cause i havent seen an emulator without keyboard/mouse support (well all the common ones).
as for ports, there is no reason why a company cant port a console game to pc... on a pc platform, without making the effort to add keyboard/mouse support.
its a rom on an emulator, do you think they remade the game.... emulators have been giving old nes/ect.. games keyboard and mouse support for decades.
Keyboard support IS already added for them
easily, go try it....
anywho, as i said, emulation has been giving old console games keyboard and mouse support for decades.
edit: it said some with full or partial support, others with none.
edit: adding to this, look at other game bundles they have released for older console games, they were all emulated, so unless they made their own without keyboard/mouse support, either/or for some awful reason disabled that support, then there is zero reason to not have said keyboard/mouse support.
Here's the literal quote from the article.
"Metal Gear Solid, as well as the MSX and NES games, will only receive keyboard support, as these are either 2D games or barely use a first-person mode. Metal Gear Solid 2 will primarily get keyboard controls but with some mouse support. Metal Gear Solid 3 is the only game in the collection that will have keyboard and mouse support. "
All of them have keyboard support.
MGS1 has no first person aiming, so it's keyboard only. That makes sense.
MGS2 has LIMITED support, ie it DOES have mouse support while doing first person aiming, but the camera is normally in a fixed position, so you can use the mouse to aim but that's it.
MGS3 has FULL support, in that it has a fully moveable camera, because it's the subsistence version. In other words, you can use the mouse to both control aiming, as well as move the camera.
tf does a game pad have to do with a keyboard and mouse, you make zero sense....
emulators, which these games will likely use, all have keyboard and mouse support, thus said inputs can be mapped and used in game(s), not including this is a pc platform for pc games, keyboard and mouse support is expected.
so im assuming and by your link/copy pasta you are saying all of these below have "full" keyboard and mouse support? i dont see all of them listed or mentioned in either the link or your copy/pasta.
vol 1
Metal Gear
Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
Metal Gear Solid (Including VR Missions/Special Missions)
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (HD Collection version)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (HD Collection version)
Metal Gear (NES/FC version)
Snake's Revenge
-----------------
answer is, they dont and should have full keyboard and mouse support.
Metal Gear - MSX game - article says MSX games, keyboard support
Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake - MSX game, article says MSX games, keyboard support
Metal Gear Solid (Including VR Missions/Special Missions) - Article says keyboard support, as it has no first person aiming
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (HD Collection version) - Article says limited support, in that the mouse is used for first person aiming, the game has a fixed camera so there's really no other sections to implement the mouse for
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (HD Collection version) - full support, it has a 3d camera and you can move it around - it's a third person shooter more or less.
Metal Gear (NES/FC version) - NES game, article says keyboard support
Snake's Revenge - NES game, article says keyboard support
as i said, they all dont have "full" keyboard/mouse support, something that is expected on a pc, in a pc platform.
let alone any of them that are emulated... as i said, all emulators have keyboard/mouse support, for all the games on each of them, no reason why any of these cant have both.
i have played tons of controller games, on emulation.... and all of them can have controls mapped to w/e input device you want, be it joysticks, controllers, keyboards, mice, w/e...
so, they are likely, purposely disabling support for either/or, on specific games, for no reason.
how about trying it yourself, or googling a video of it, or... im not here to explain everything for you.
i mean, is the concept of mapping keys to other buttons foreign to you lol?
anywho, they need to have full support for both, end of story.
