Fixed camera locked during The Boss fight
Am I the only one here having this issue? the camera LOCKED itself on the default setting during The Boss fight, which makes the whole fight incredible tedious, I tried changing it, but nothing, its locked, this never happened to me before neither on Subsistence or the HD Version on PS3...

I didn't play the PS3 version so I don't know, I think it wouldn't work well here because it would cause issues (especialy on Switch), but you can still do the fight pretty easily.

Yeah, I still beat her, but this is an issue, the game can suddenly switch to the fixed camera literally in the last fight.

I just thought that was normal tbh. It's been ages since I last played Snake Eater so I didn't question it

I don't know, are you sure the HD collection allow for the other camera ? If it doesn't there then it's not surprise it doesn't do it here.

This is normal, across all versions of the game, be it the PS2 original, HD Collection, Master Collection, or 3DS version. The fight against The Boss always has the fixed camera.

The camera will generally always be point in the direction of The Boss, but sometimes it may take a bit to switch or track her. In these cases, pressing yourself up against a tree for a second or two and then letting go will usually make the camera switch.
This is a part of the game, and there's nothing you can do besides getting used to it. Just coordinate where The Boss is in relation to where Snake is standing, and the viewpoint will be placed in a more efficient angle.

Must be a Mandela Effect, but I could've swore that the camera was open in Subsistence and the PS3 HD remaster during this fight.

There wasn't. Mandela Effect indeed.
