How I remastered MGS3 using mods.

I made a video which showcases how I made a "remaster" of the game using mods. You don't have to watch the video so below is a modlist of the mods that I am using.

First thank you for the video showing the differences the mods make.
And second you might want to use the url markdown for the links as they end up getting cut off in the post and cause the links to go to non-existent pages on Nexus.

Hey thanks for this, I tried to apply markdown for the URLs but unfortunately it resulted in the links being blocked so I have compiled the list of mods under controlc as pastebin also blocked the links. Once again thanks for bringing this to my attention!

Albeit not perfect there is a mod for this already that fixed a majority of the audio.

Looks just like mine, good stuff man. Has someone taken the MGS3 audio fix from Nexus mods? The one for MGS2 is still there but the one for MGS3 is gone.

Sounds like it could still use some work especialy compared to what XCOm modders can do, but the modding community is still young so we will see with time, I hope we can get a "Long war" sort of mod, that would put kojima to shame if modders do better than him but no one cares we want good mods + it already happened in the past, a randomizer would be neat too.

no it didn't. It only reworks fmv cutscenes and codec calls.

Thanks to the few who keep the threads updated with mod info. Reserving a purchase until we've got a good sweep of fixes for the collection, so it's genuienly appreciated to check up once a week. Good to see 3's audio taken care of (for free) by some champ in his free time.

Luckily it's been a busy year. Heck i almost forgot Mario RPG next week. Happy to keep supporting real work and effort that goes into remasters/re-releases. Keep us lurkers updated.

I managed to get the audio patch working and it sounds good. I highly recommend the crouch walking mod, its a fun alternative that replaces the slow walk that you do with the d-pad.
