Im so fed up with this, its happened too much as of late.

I'd say people rightly hold ports to a standard of not just being fullscreen-exclusive 720p at release, and I'd say that's completely fair, blame konami for likely either rushing the port or not giving them enough resources to fully make it pc-worthy in time.

I gotta say though, the game runs buttery smooth for me, once issues like sound quality, textures and resolutions are sorted out, it should be a superb port.

Abuse of the review system is always happening, too many people who think they know what's up, most of it is point farming using anything controversial. That is pretty sad.

Enjoy the games, they are awesome. As Kojima intended too.

I want to enjoy the game. was promised 1080p, Assumed the game wouldnt be full of visual glitches. When games are broken they deserved to be ripped apart.

Maybe people will leave a positive review if they are happy with their purchase. Just because you are dose not mean everyone else is. They bought the game, they have every right to leave a review. Positive or negative.

That's not abuse, that's people reviewing the state of the game on release by the standard of pc ports that have been over the years, it'll probably change real quick once the team(s) responsible for the ports get to expand the base functionality, because I've got the feeling that the reason we don't have much PC-specific options and the like yet is due to efforts being mainly focused on getting the game to run smoothly and properly, save for apparently a cutscene or two where music is mismatched if the notes about known issues are to be believed.

Point being, review score gets better once the port is in a better state options-wise. In terms of running smoothly though, at least for me, it's been pretty much entirely trouble-free, which I'm thankful for.

It's a bad port. Put out a bad product at a high price, get a bad review.

If you're going to charge that much it better be an amazing port.

At least the port runs really well, though admittedly I didn't pay much attention to how much power it wants, so no clue if it's good optimisation or brute-force, but still, runs nice, hopefully the porting teams can make it the port it deserves to be.

Also, mods are still a thing, even if modding teams are cut short work-wise, I'm sure there will be some modders making it the port it deserves to be.


But yeah, that's not necessarily justifying the price admittedly.

You might want to ask Kojima if he intended for there to be distorted audio.

The game runs great, has bug fixes, and looks great. These people are mad because the game doesn't have "updated graphics", they are deranged children, so their opinions really don't matter.
