Japanese download
The option in the launcher to download the Japanese version opens a Steam page that redirects me to the main page. What's up with that? Is it region locked, despite being advertised as a supported language on my region's store page? Another scam?

https://steamdb.info/app/2131630/dlc/ You can download the MGS1 language packs from SteamDB. Click on the APPID of the specific language you want to download and click install at the top right. I'd recommend downloading the US Pack, as that makes the game play at 60 Hz over the PALs at 50 Hz.

I tried that, but it didn't work. Steam doesn't react at all to the Install URL.

Also probably worth noting is that it seems the Korean subtitles are not included in this collection, even though the original PS2 game had them.

@LJ Once you hit install on SteamDB, go back to your Steam app, click on MGS3, and check the DLC tab on the right side. Also, make sure you're signed into SteamDB with your Steam account.

That's great, I forgot that some games fail to activate DLC automatically once it's added to the account. Thanks! You don't need to sign into SteamDB though, it shouldn't make a difference.

@Owlet VII Happy to help! It's good to hear you don't need to be signed into SteamDB. I've been signed into it for years, so I thought maybe it could've had something to do with it, but I guess not. :steamthumbsup:

Worth noting is that the game does give you the DLCs when you press "Download Japanese version" (or the Digital Graphic Novels), but you have to quit the game and activate them yourself in the games' Steam settings. The game doesn't tell you to do it.

all I get is a "no licenses" error when trying to install any dlc for any game in the collection tho

EDIT: lmao they didn't include any dlc packages in pre-order sub
