Mouse and keyboard
I only want to buy the game if MGS2 supports mouse movement for aiming and MGS3 supports mouse movement for controlling the camera and aiming. Does it? I don't want to buy it and then get disappointed.

Haven't tried with mouse and keyboard, but if I had to guess, probably it's going to be the same as the original releases so no mouse aiming.

The mouse emulates the right analogue stick with no adjustments. It sucks balls and is completely unplayable. Avoid this version.

I'm gonna check MGS2 in a sec.

sensitivity with the mouse is super low and cannot be altered as of yet
it could be usable if you are patient

I used the DPI toggle on my mouse and it's okay (for MGS3).

What do you mean by unplayable?

No mouse aiming whatsoever in MGS2. This is because you can't aim with the right stick there, and as I mentioned, they made the mouse just emulate the right stick with no adjustments.

This is, BTW, not "unplayable" in any sense of the word. It's not ideal, but it works.

It "works". It's the bare minimum really, it's not true raw input and it feels like ♥♥♥♥.

Thank you all for answering. So I'm assuming it's a bit like Resident Evil 2 Remake where your mouse cursor even has a deadzone? Yeah, I think I'll pass for now.

I didn't know that was an issue in REmake 2, kinda scared to get it now. But yeah, it has a massive deadzone in MGS3.

MGS3 isn't a twitch shooter, so the mouse aim is tolerable, IMO. They definitely need to add a sensitivity option, though, and making the input raw would be ideal.

Some more customization of key binds would be nice, too. However, all things considered its' definitely playable with M+KB.

I ended up playing it with a controller instead because you don't need to aim precisely very quickly. When you aim you wait for you reticle to get smaller so your shots are more precise and it increases your crit chance so you have plenty of time to adjust your aim even when you are as bad at aiming with a controller as me. But the reason that I care so much about the controls of this game is because of a couple of reasons:
1. This is a port of a 20 year old game that they ask 20 euros for
2. I can play this game on my PS2 instead.
3. I am not willing to financially support a port that has barely any work put into it.

I saw in game they will add a sensitivity option (I personally programed the DPI key for my mouse to make it much better 3200DPI) in the in-game notification but still no way to rebind the keys wtf it's frustrating it cloud have been extremely satisfying to play.
Q and E: inventory/leaning
F: prepare the weapon
C:crouch
R or mouse 5:Cqc
Right mouse:1st person view

I know maybe a way who MIGHT work

In this guide he use a program named UCR to rebind the keys like if I make Q and E act like 1 and 2 it will emulate the key binds once triggered so my idea is to use this program to make better controls

This collection only exists because they still had the source code to the HD Collection lying around, collecting dust and not making them money, so they slapped it in a launcher and released it with zero enhancements.

It is not, at least I've never experienced it...

I was thinking of getting only MGS3 because that's the only game that I don't have on PC yet, but if using the mouse to aim is such a pita and resolution is 720p, oh well, better wait for Delta.
