3. That's why you can use the D-PAD.
4. Never had this issue, but I do shoot when I'm sure that it will hit.
I know the Aiming thing i thought i was messing up on too or that the game was different, but then i started to keep an eye out for it and it more or less only happened when i happened to be a lower angle of the guards(lying down, under a walkway, etc.) I solved this by going into the kneeling position, as i tend to never engage if my camo isn't a certain level while kneeling(minimum 40%)
I will say i've noticed things that weren't around in the HD Collection(PS3/360) like getting stuck momentarily while crawling, or standing up when bumbing into a slight incline and having to lay back down. However, they happened very rarely and weren't game breaking enough to cause my discomfort.
This game was a masterpiece for its time and it is a good game still but 100% is only something one in the past should have endeavoured (due to having limited games/funds).
I bought it, and only it, for Switch and while I am glad for the free third person cam (hadn't got it on PS2) and the controls are somewhat fine, there are various improvements I expect for the remaster or I won't be tempted to buy.
There is really no need for 1st person view to be so finicky and forced after all. Let me move in it, won't ya? A crouch walk wouldn't break the game either. Needless to say, no one would mind an ingame collectibles page for 100%, I'm not even asking for hints, just a way to track.
Well, I expect that the remaster won't be that good and I may only get it for PC during a sale and if the controls are made to fit keyboard and mouse. I had my fill again, after... 10-15 years? I have the Legacy Collection for PS3 but that one I didn't really touch.
it absolutely would, the game was not designed around it
yes it did, you moved almost as fast as walking and could easily hold up enemies, in the normal game, you need to stand up and slowly approach the enemy, is a risky move that exposes you, but if you are successful you can do pretty much anything you want with that enemy
in the normal game you are confronted with the choice between being fast and easy to spot, by walking and running, and being slow but difficult to spot, crouch walking pretty much eliminates that choice
sounds like a skill issue to me, use the dpad to sneak and get close to enemies without making any sound
MGS3 doesnt have the best controls i admit, but i never feel like im fighting the game's controls while playing, it simply feels like the game has complex controls, but everything is designed around them
i say, if you change the controls, you must also think about changing atleast some of the level design
