That being said, I don't feel like the game is exactly ruined by not having gameplay elements that were exclusive to 3DS.
The 3DS version is actually in a different engine. It is basically a different game.
I'd have picked it up if we had 60/720p docked. The PS2 & PS3 had no troubles with 60 & seriously the dated Nvidia tech on switch is still miles ahead of a decade older cell processor with 256mb ram, 256 vram too lol.
I picked up Dark Souls remastered for it and it was a great port that actually runs better than the old PC version & even 1080p which was way over what the 360 & PS3 could do, regardless of owning two pc versions it was great to have that series portable!
Other than frame rate and the ability to mod the game, the switch is the same as PC. Controls COULD be modded in, like the ability to move while crouched in 3DS, but right now we have the xbox 360 version of HD collection. And like the posters above said, it's not modern at all.
The controls are all like this until MGS4 where it starts resembling what you recognize. Here, you cannot aim move and shoot at the same time, you have to do each action separately. You don't even aim with the right stick.
Hey there buddy, we forgot all about you! *hugs*
Yes, the 3DS version is another version of the MGS3.
You can equip a box to walk faster or you could remove the pin of a grenade and move without making footsteps.
