Japanese version doesn't work?

I downloaded all the DLCs all games had to offer, installed japanese language to windows even but when I select the japanese version it just says "MGS HD Collection" and freezes there until I open a new desktop and kill the process there. Also even though I change the input UI (from Xbox to PS4) it just keeps reverting back everytime I reboot the game.

You guys know anything about all this?

The Japanese version freezes here too, I have the High Resolution UI Textures mod, so it could be this that's causing it to freeze. Also, the input layout doesn't change in the game, only in the launcher.

I got that mod too, gonna disable it and see if it works

Can confirm it works without the mod man. Just gotta figure out how to give it eng subs while keeping the Japanese VA.

The audio is only present in the Japanese version.

Oh, what a shame, I would have loved to play it with Japanese audio! Thanks for the answers anyway
