(or was it the HD collection version? it was subsistence anyway)
and this would bring you back to the main menu. iirc, could be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the buttons up but I remember doing that button combo for my Foxhound run back in 2018.
BUT you will have to go through the menu videos iirc and stuff, I remember having to watch that stupid Dolby intro cinematic hundreds of times.
But when you're doing a Foxhound Run in EExtreme, you don't really want to press continue as you would then ruin your Foxhound Run, hence why he's asking for the quick access to the main menu to reload the save.
But the Button Prompt to go back to the main menu is comparable to pressing Exit at that screen and going through it that way.
He said no alert run so I didn't see any FOXHOUND run.
I doubt that there is a soft reset for such thing, in MGS1 you push R1 + L1 but I doubt that it doesn anything here unless my controller have issues (well, even more).
MGS2 and 3 both had button combos to soft reset the game. However, both are reported as nonfunctional.
For OP, your best solution is to Alt F4 the game. Launcher should open back up, just hit x or a once. But, that's not going to solve your issue, it just takes you back to main menu like exit on game over would. You're going to be watching the scene again anyway. Just save?
E Extreme made me presume Foxhound run, cause it's a great way to force you to get conditions for Foxhound, since you can't really get caught, I done Foxhound on Extreme and thought I was a bumbling fool for doing it on Extreme rather than E Extreme since Extreme, you can survive after the alert and waste a few more seconds.
But I also figured "no alerts, e extreme and trying to restart?" sounds like a foxhound run if you ask me cause 0 continues is a big one for that, and e extreme, if you're caught, you have to continue if you want to play on without reloading the save. But that's cause I've done it myself in the past and know what kinda struggle and experience that is.
I had no way to know since it could be a challenge run, like E.Extreme ironman/no save.
