Kojidrones will tell you to just emulate them so honestly in both case it's like pointless for them if VOL1 flop like MGS TTS.
Even split-screen for a change, but that's a feature I doubt they'll retrofit.
And damn, imagine if they'd finish up MGS V? One can dream.
The crazy thing about that? is that it already exists, (not really) but on a Game ideas Wikipage.

Truth is, we'll never get that ending people talked about, because assets themselves were never even finished, they got to like the 30% mark (reportedly) of rendering scene assets and were shut down by Konami; very much in the same fashion they shut down the Silent Hills project right in the middle of pre-production - all of this links to Konami firing Kojima.
That last mission doesn't exist because Kojima couldn't finish it; it's the simplest answer to the why. So us hoping for MGSV: TPP to be 'finished' - is essentially asking for time travel to exist and someone altering the timeline in where Kojima doesn't get fired and Konami aren't corrupt and deceitful sea-hags.
Or Konami could contract Kojima to finish off his work?
