The 1080p 60fps locks are really giving me zero reason to buy this when I have the PS3 collection.
Seems like MGS4 will be the only one worth checking out, and I really hope they don't lock it to 30fps considering the PS3 had 60fps jumps, and the PS3 emulator can run it at 60.
That makes no sense, MGS2 & MGS3 ALSO had frequently had fps drops down to as low as 15 FPS on the PS3.

Interesting. Guess I never noticed. Probably doesn't help that most of this footage (and said frame drops) is from cutscenes though.
I don't get your point. Isn't that the standard for modern games?

For modern games yes, but modern games can also be found supporting 144+hz and 4k, sometimes even on consoles.
Older games tend to be easier to run at higher resolutions and frame rates if they can support it. Sometimes they have issues with higher frame rates, but resolution tends to be okay. In fact people have been emulating these games at 4k 60fps for a few years already.
I'm not well informed on this subject so don't hang me if i'm wrong but I think the game/s could potentially have issues running at higher frame rates that they weren't supported for... like they might go ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and speed up in certain areas and become unstable etc. The only reason I bring that up is because I emulated peace walker in the past and tried using fps boosting methods and when applied certain parts of the game would act like it was on crack and all kinds of goofy ♥♥♥♥ would happen. Now implementing this (higher fps support) could be a task as simple as adjusting & tweaking something/s... OR something/s that requires a lot of patience to "PROPERLY" implement / make it run "STABLE" and I have no clue how much effort and programming knowledge is required to achieve that so I can't complain about it. Also 60 fps (assuming the game/s will run at that consistently) is totally acceptable. As for preferred resolution I would imagine a simple ini edit would do the trick but that's pure assumption maybe it'll be a nightmare to ♥♥♥♥ with I really couldn't tell yuh... hopefully it's not.

1:29, it happens during gameplay too.

Seems very minimal compared to the cutscene drops. Not worth $60 for 5 frames imo.
Less than 10 days from release now and they still haven't updated the store pages about KBM support, which is just leading me to assume there will be a patch a few days later from release date to add KBM support.

Folks confirmed that they could use mouse & keyboard with the playable PC demo at Tokyo gameshow weeks ago, they don't have to patch it in - it's already in. Don't make ♥♥♥♥ up lol

The article said patch but okay so why isn't the store page edited? It still says controller required

Dunno why they haven't changed the store page yet, they haven't corrected the images either since one of them still show a bug that was already seen to be fixed (the missing laser on MGS2's page during the Olga fight), which is corrected on the switch's store page
