As I've said you really should do some research first.
Yes, it's not a remaster but that doesn't have anything to do with resolution settings. The original port wasn't a remaster either but had resolution settings. Some folks really should do some research first.
and to say "its the original look" is not even right. Its like playing a game with 800p res on a steam deck and on your 1440p monitor. the game is still the same and only the render res is different. So it would be more a fix for modern hardware then a "Remaster".

In reality, that's how Kojima wanted MGS to be since its inception, but obviously many things weren't possible due to budget and hardware limitations. The PS1 couldn't even leave corpses laying around, so many ideas were simply abandoned. With the original soundtrack mod, that actually is the definitive MGS experience. While I'm not a big fan of the new cutscenes, I've seen the original cutscenes a hundred times so it's like whatever, and some cutscenes are actually better like the Psycho Mantis introduction:
