The trick to beat Ocelot's torture is to keep mashing the button/key when the electrocution stops. You can still recover life for a second or two after the machine is turned off, as you can see in this video:

Torture starts at 7:30. Note how the life bar keeps "growing" after the electrocution stops. Additionally, try using your keyboard instead of a controller, I find it easier this way. Nvm, you're already using a keyboard lol. Just mash that key as if your life depended on it, you got this.
The pen worked for me because my hand was vertical, facing upwards. It was easier for me to hammer the pen down on the H key. I'm also pretty sure our hands work better vertically rather than horizontally, that's why those weird ergonomic mouses exist. I don't know. I'm not an expert. Anyways it worked better for me to hammer down a pen than to mash with my fingers.
