Ocelot torture scene on keyboard HELP HELP ME HEEEEEELLLPPPP
I've recently started playing this game. Picked up the master collection on sale (although it was very overpriced probably would've been better to emulate it) and so far its been a great game. And yes I did download mgsm2 fix although I think I need to tinker around with it to get a better experience. Because of this being a pc port the charm of the original ps1 version is kinda lacking but I can still appreciate what konami did back then (like the psycho mantis bossfight). Now enough jibber jabber I'll tell you why I am making this post.

I unfortunately have not been able to hook up my ps3 or ps4 controller to my pc. If any body possibly know why, please inform me. So I have been bound to using the keyboard controls and yes I know, some og fan probably just had a heart attack reading that, but they're not that bad honestly. The problem arises with Ocelot's torture cutscene. I know what button to press but it just seems really hard and I am playing on easy difficulty. It could just be a skill issue (and that is a pretty fair point sometimes I just get burned out and can't beat a boss but then the next day when fingers aren't crumbled from keyboard smashing I flawlessly beat it, I don't know I'll try tomorrow) Anyways does anyone have anything that can help like having some keyboard autoclicker or some tips and tricks?
Obviously trying to get the good ending. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely Clawwar

EDIT: I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Only 3 rounds because I'm on easy.

Make sure you've set "CONTROLLER RESPONSE SPEED" in the pause menu to "FAST"

This did help a bit but only on the first two stages of electrocution. Do you know anything else that can help or is it just a really big skill issue?

The trick to beat Ocelot's torture is to keep mashing the button/key when the electrocution stops. You can still recover life for a second or two after the machine is turned off, as you can see in this video:

Torture starts at 7:30. Note how the life bar keeps "growing" after the electrocution stops. Additionally, try using your keyboard instead of a controller, I find it easier this way. Nvm, you're already using a keyboard lol. Just mash that key as if your life depended on it, you got this.

I am currently using a pen to mash the h key. It's working pretty decently but I am taking breaks. If any one has another tip let me know.

same tip i suggested when i was on ps1 and beat it for my cousin. you have more than 1 finger bro. try alternating finger pressing . you can technically double your speed this way. just takes a little practice. :praisesun:

i thought a pen really only helps with a controller as you can move it back and forth without hitting other buttons (keys)

The pen worked for me because my hand was vertical, facing upwards. It was easier for me to hammer the pen down on the H key. I'm also pretty sure our hands work better vertically rather than horizontally, that's why those weird ergonomic mouses exist. I don't know. I'm not an expert. Anyways it worked better for me to hammer down a pen than to mash with my fingers.

you could probably set up a Turbo option via the Steam Controller settings
