If you lost the original controller configuration Konami provided, find a new one someone uploaded in Community Layouts. If you can't find one for Xbox, press X while highlighting the tab to bring up layouts for all controller types.

It might be the translator's fault, I'm very sorry. And I don't know how to make these damn links clickable, Valve is very unclear and unhelpful on sharing controller layouts.

Found it, you copy the top URL into your web browser and just paste it, and steam will open it for you. Hit Square to save the changes this layout makes. Do it multiple times just in case. This apparently does not work for linux so I had trouble getting it work there...
