Hallo Zusammen, wie kann ich bei MGS1 meinen Controller benutzen? Bei MGS2 & 3 funktioniert alles wunderbar ohne was großartig einstellen zu müssen.

Enable steam input. It's not negotiable, you NEED it for MGS1 with how M2 designed it's emulator.

If you lost the original controller configuration Konami provided, find a new one someone uploaded in Community Layouts. If you can't find one for Xbox, press X while highlighting the tab to bring up layouts for all controller types.

Ehrlich gesagt kann ich Ihnen nicht folgen. Ich habe noch nie ein Controller Layout über Steam nutzen müssen, wenn ich die Steameingabe hier nutzen will im Spiel funktionieren die L1,L2,R1,R2 Tasten nicht. Bei MGS2 & 3 hat der Controller sofort funktioniert.

It might be the translator's fault, I'm very sorry. And I don't know how to make these damn links clickable, Valve is very unclear and unhelpful on sharing controller layouts.

Do you speak English by chance?

Found it, you copy the top URL into your web browser and just paste it, and steam will open it for you. Hit Square to save the changes this layout makes. Do it multiple times just in case. This apparently does not work for linux so I had trouble getting it work there...
