I know it’s old but man the controls are atrocious

I’m trying to get into metal gear solid for the first time but I don’t think I can handle these horrendous controls. Movement and combat is so janky and hard to comprehend 90% of the time.

I also play with analog sticks. Its absolutely playable. Im still wishing a proper analog control update! But i wont wait on it.
