Rex not dying in mgs1 glitch??

Okay so im fighting rex and i beat him but it doesnt kill him and when i keep hitting him his health wont go down and phase 2 doesnt happen. ive tried everything if anyone can help please do.

Are you actually draining Rex's health? Shooting the raydome with the Stinger, then Rex itself?

Yes, but are you playing the American version, European, Japanese, etc.

This is a really strange bug, I've never heard of REX just not dying when its health is depleted.

Yeah that's weird. I can't find anything online about this. Maybe try setting the response time of the emulator and see if that helps, you can find it in the menu where you press Left bumper + Right bumper at the same time.
