I think there is a mod for it but couldn't find it because of the kojidrone flooding the forum, search MGS2/3 I think it got a fix for it there but I'm not sure, otherwise your local modding website may have it.
I don't have the issue on my end btw so aside if you play on steam deck there should be a solution.
Nope, not playing on Steam Deck, standard PC with specs well beyond the minimum (or maximum lol)
I found the mods for MGS2 and MGS3 but those don't seem to apply to MGS1
Are you playing the PAL or NTSC version? Whatever you're in, try the other one.
That's good to hear.
Well the beta patch is on the beta branch so you have to manualy "subscribe" to it, if you intend to play MGS2 & 3 you should also limit the game FPS to 60 FPS.
Had the same issue since day 1, I'll try this, although Steam has always showed the game running at 60fps.
It's still there during the konami logo/intro cutscene but for the few minutes i tried ingame, the sound seemed fine. Will have to try a bit longer later.
The sound crackling was actually my main gripe with this port and basically the reason I stopped playing it for the time being.
Hi, everybody. Today I've downloaded the 1.30 patch and try to play again Metal Gear PS1 games from the Master Collection. The first time the audio crackling appeared again but, then a new nvidia driver update was released and I install it. Second, I go to Nvidia Panel and set limit of fps on the two options available. Set 60 fps, I run it directly from MGS-Master Collection Desktop Icon. Setup again in full Window Mode and the Submarine Intro was running with perfect audio, intro credits and radio conversations.
Very weird
