Twin Snakes is canon in a general sense that it's a reinterpretation of a canon story. Portable Ops has enough that fits the overall lore and helps expand on a few things a little bit. Especially Roy Campbell, creation of Foxhound, Snakes desire to create an army, etc. I know there are things about the game that have since been altered and aren't true, but most are smaller details. There's an overarching lore and story that is fun to see some of. Plus it's a great game to actually play that people overlook because people say it isn't canon. It's canon enough for me.
I suspect Snake's Revenge isn't canon either, so it's not like that really matters.
Great point.
