BTW manuals and configurations are not here as decorations.
For MGS3 you open the menu, select option then select return to main title.
And OP to fix your Fullscreen issue you have to go into your graphics card control panel and turn on Vsync OR limit the framerate for the game. (if your monitor refresh rate is higher than 60Hz Vsync won't help you, so use the frame rate limit in that case)
ALT + F4 is never the good way to close a game nor a software.
When you launch the packs you select the game you want to play, so when you save in-game it save like a temporary save, when you exit (the way normal people do) it saves your data for the game you have played.
So all you have to do is quit the game normaly.
I don't know what they're talking about. I've never quit the game that way, I always use alt+f4 and saves have worked fine.
I just lost Gray Fox and Psycho Mantis progress because by habit, I closed the game out through steam's exit game. Opened it back up, sure enough I was before Gray Fox.
I mention in a different thread that I'm pretty sure you just have to open that menu, you don't actually have to exit, BUT I haven't thoroughly tested that to be sure
(MGS1 is my least favorite Solid game so it's pretty low priority to me)
no I didn't even know about that menu until I got stuck on the psycho mantis fight (which took me 3 days to get to, it's my first time playing this game) and had to look it up.
and I just now tested it. I have only used memory slot 1 until this, so slot 2 was empty. I just now saved my game to memory slot 2. quit the game using alt+f4. restarted the game, the slot 2 file is still there
well apparently you're the only one
I honestly never tested because I don't mind going through menus to close the game, as I'm never in a hurry since i can pause and walk away or just alt-tab if it's urgent.
