Literally can’t start the game

It asks me to agree to the terms of use, agree is greyed out. If I choose disagree it reloads the game. If I choose confirm it closes the game.

Edit:

I managed to open the terms of service but after that it stops reading controller or keyboard inputs

I had the same problem. Still lçooking for a solution. Very disappointed with Konami. When the PC game for win95 get out I bought it asnd dont have any isues in that time... Hope some solution came up... otherwise I will ask for a refund and wait two years or more to buy this in any xmas discount party.

Apparently you hit backspace after looking at the terms, then you can agree.

I solved at least 1 controller issue, and I notice no one here mentions Steam Input being enabled, so take a look at the steps I went through to help that person and lemme know if it works

So how I Fixed the game not loading was to do with GPU settings - I have an AMD Radeon rx 6800xt and used the steam help settings to find the fix - there was an NVIDIA fix also. Game works fine after one setting change within the AMD GPU settings. (Steam help)

Steam Help what? I have a 6700 but you didn't mention WHAT setting needed to be changed. There's a lot of options in Steam's help section and nothing that I've found so far having to do with my GPU and the drivers are updated, game files verified, even added the xaudio2_9 dll file, inputted the WINDLLOVERRIDES command in the advanced game launch option and now the game won't even go to the game select screen so if you could tell WHAT setting needed to be changed it may be an actual help.

Nothing you said applies here and no one was talking about anything you said.
You are rambling about GPU but no one here ever even said GPU, let alone had any issues related to it.

Like, nobody even told you to do any of those things...

I'd like to know too, they posted 4 reviews but it's for different games so it's hard to say if they just bought the games and can't play, at least we know that they own the game but as you have mentionned the stuff they've said seems odd.

Since this thread got necro’d I’m going to reply with my fix here:

There wasn’t one. Regardless of Steam input setting, it didn’t read controller inputs. It didn’t read keyboard inputs either. It was just like the game wasn’t read any input from any device at all. I thought that my controllers and keyboard weren’t even connected in the first place when the problem started. Problem was only in the game and whenever I restarted it.

The next day i tried again and it just worked on both kb+m and controller.

For those using a graphics card made by AMD

Launch the “AMD Software” that you have installed.
In the “Gaming” tab, select “METAL GEAR SOLID - Master Collection Version”.

Make sure that the “Radeon™ Chill” is turned on, with the Min FPS and Max FPS set to 60

Make sure that the “Wait for Vertical Refresh” is set to Always on
