Is anyone else just happy to have MGS on steam?

I'm just happy they finally brought these games to steam. Thell patch them and fix them or the community will fix them but MGS is one of, if not the greatest game series ever made and I finally can play it with ease on my steam deck. I've emulated all of them including 4. The bonus features i love, I'm in the middle of reading mgs script book. Can't wait to read the others. Also the real mg 1 and 2 finally have a PC release. Iv been wanting to play these games forever but emulating msx is annoying and mgs 3 is the only other option. Everyone chill out, it is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the amount of bugs and missing options but we'll get them. I can't even play 2 or 3 on my deck and I don't even care cause I know I will be soon. MG 1, 2, and mgs along with all the bonus content work. I got more than enough here until they hopefully patch it this week. I agree on the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ but I'm just happy to have these games in my steam library.

yeah I'm glad to see Konami finally bringing MGS "officially" to PC and not seeing them release this collection exclusive to console only again

Count me in. I've been saying for years I wanted MGS on Steam. I even said multiple times I don't even want a remaster or anything, I just want a straight port. So yeah, I'm pretty happy, now if only fullscreen would work on Proton without gamescope.

i was wondering this too. i do like steam, but i played this game like 2 times already from gog and i launched it from steam using the VFansss mgs2 vs fix

It is, however MGS3 was not included in the GOG line-up - only MG,MG2,MGS,MGS2
and seeing as this is only Vol.1, I welcome this as it most likely means MGS PW and MGS4 are coming at a later date

There already is a version with better graphics its called twin snakes and you can emulate it on gamecube. I wanted the release version, and the japanese version is awesome to have with everything in it. Resolution and framerate im sure we will be able to adjust soon. They already have mgs3 running in 4k.

Like all MGS fans I'm happy that Konami ported those games on PC, we have been asking for years now.

I am equally as pissed but my hapiness to finally have these games forever in my steam library to play outweighs my anger because i know the small issues will be patched soon or modders will fix everything.

It won't be $60 forever and it's a whole new volume 1 pack. It has tons of content you can't get anywhere else. Cmon, it has every version of mgs 1 including the 2 vr packs which are unneeded cause of integral plus vr missions cancels out the extra missions. Integral has never been released in the US either. The bonus content is great. I love reading the scripts and all the content that went into the game and the scrapped stuff. It's just more mgs. I agree the ports are bad right now but some way they will be fixed

Im stoked to have these games on steam , to be honest though i loaded up mgs1 a lil while ago and the two issues i cannot forgive currently is the input lag is COMPLETELY unacceptable and im also having audio problems . if they fix those two things i can put up with blurrier graphics compared to ps1 original. although i hope they clean that up too.

I'm really happy these games are here, now they just need to patch it a lil to make it an excellent collection.
