How does the camera control in this version of MGS3 Snake Eater?
Is the camera a free camera like modern games & 3ds remake?
or is the camera just like the ps2 version?

This Snake Eater is a port of HD edition so you have access to 3rd person camera.

MGS3 is a port of the HD edition which features the subsistance version of the game which allows you to play in a free roam third person camera or you can use the classic camera that came with the original MGS3 release

Press R3 to switch without having to go into the menu.

You should probably ask on the metal Gear Solid 3 board and not the Metal Gear Solid 1 board, since you are asking about Metal Gear Solid 3 and not Metal Gear Solid 1
