Just look at this.

Esp the last few shots comparing this release to how you can run it on Duckstation.
My TV literally says 1080p after I launch the game.
The game isn't stretched to the full window size, as it's displayed in 4:3 with bars on the side filling in the bits, but the game is running at 1080p
It's got the NA MGS1, VR missions, Special Missions, and MGS1 Integral.
Don't let these people ramble on about Duckstation while not acknowledging you'd be juggling 6 ISOs to have the same content (not to mention the Script for the game and the Master Book for the series)
Nope, this is a "perfect emulation" which means the game runs just like it did on PS1. The actual resolution is 240p.
Looks like just 3 downloads to me (the MSX games come with MGS1). If you know what I mean. Bonus content is included.
But if you think it's worth the money that's your opinion. Glad you are happy with your purchase. Hopefully the silly limitations removed by modders literally years ago (mainly the res lock on MGS1, no widescreen and it's awful filter that makes it look blurry as sh gets patched or a option to remove).
Only thing I think might be worth it is MGS 3 just because it's never had a PC port before. But it also is locked at 1080p. For some reason. Like MGS 2 which had it's OG PC port get a fan launcher to run at any res years ago.
Idk if it's because i'm used to bars on the side cuz of MAME or if it's because I grew up with a ps1, but like yea, meh.
I never said anything about the MSX games, I am literally ONLY talking about the Metal Gear Solid 1 options because that is the board we are on. All 6 of those discs are just what comes with MGS1.
2 & 3 and MG 1 & 2 are an entirely different conversation and add to the overall value.
And yes, I am VERY familiar with MGS2's PC port; I've lost my save for it twice since 2009. MGS2 is my favorite game and having a cloud save for that is almost worth the $60 by itself because dogtags
I didn't wanna say i feel robbed, because i am still enjoying it and i don't regret buying it... but i think u know what i mean.
Honestly MGS1 is the smallest reason for me to buy the game and literally every other game in this collection is really why I'm here.
I once beat MGS1 7 times in 3 days chasing rumors on how to unlock the Ninja; I would have been okay never playing again.
Having cloud saves for MGS2 and a native version of MGS3 though?
The achievements will probably cause me to play MGS1 more than the NES/MSX MG1&2 but even those I have more desire to play than MGS1 (though I will admit there is a lot of MGS! VR I've never finished)
LOL and there is more of my screens
