Who the ♥♥♥♥ would want to play these games with Japanese voice overs?
There's a reason why pretty much everyone that played MGS on Duckstation enabled graphical improvements: because the game looks better with them.
Emulation is better not only from a fan's perspective, it's currently our only means of accurately preserving a bunch of art that is otherwise at the whims of unconcerned corporate vultures.
Damn, I thought OP is the only one here with the dumbest takes.
Though the real answer is 'because I can'.
I'm older than Nesticle and remember when CPS3 was finally cracked.
In arcade emulators alone I've used 7 different ones. (some of the MAME forks from back in the day had some sick controller based UIs) I've run emulators on literally every playstation console and handheld. I watched and waited for decades for Sega Saturn emulation to become mostly bug free. (it only just got there in the last few years)
Hell I remember when n64 emulation first got remappable controls back in the HLE days.
But yea, you're right, I don't know ♥♥♥♥ about emulation. I haven't been using and setting them up for 23 years or anything.
I don´t know what you are smoking.
Emulation is still the best way to experience those masterpieces of games!
This so called master collection does not hold the quality standard the game series deserves.
Just look how easy the games can be improved. But of course Konami is too lazy to put some effort and love into the series.

Well there's your first problem. You don't want the original experience; you want a modified one.
You know they wrote an entire emulator right?
They also had a whole list of things they wanna fix in patches before anyone on Steam could even start a full list.
I'm not a Konami fan by any stretch these days, and would happily call them lazy if it was true, but in this case, there was obvious work put in here.
I can guarantee you that all 6 discs of those are easy to find and get up and running on DuckStation + better keyboard/mouse controls and a far higher resolution with scanlines and most importantly, a stable 30 FPS
