Difference between Steam and GOG Version?
Pretty much the title.

What is the difference between each version? Plain and simple. I'm a little confused with some results I've been getting trying to figure it out.

Thank you! :)

For those that played the GOG version, is this still an issue with the Immersion Filter this guy is talking about (Timestamp 6:07) or has that since then been resolved?

It's the last one MGS Integral. That's the one they ported to PC way back in the day, and the one that GOG had before Konami pulled it.
GOG made some minor graphical changes to make it look a bit prettier but that's it.

Assuming you've tried the GOG version and this new Steam version I'm asking you. Are those "Bars" on the side noticeable? Plus the Bilinear Filtering seems a little bit extreme or is that my memory failing me? I also heard that some "effects" are not present in cutscenes in the GOG version. Happen to know anything about that?
I'm not certain on the effects thing but I've heard that too.

As for the Bars, I honestly forget they're there unless I'm actually trying to take my eyes off the game. I thought they would bother me more than they do, and some how they are better than just black sides

MGS 2 was pulled.
MGS integral is still sold on GOG.

Yea, I keep forgetting that, partially because it's weird

I understand it has to do for copyright infringement. I'm glad I bought them when they were released.

AFAIK, the effects missing in the cutscenes are just the motion blur and the dark filter applied to some of them, like when SPOILER ALERT Liquid is scolding Ocelot for killing the DARPA chief.
