Yes PAL version run at 50HZ because......it's the PAL version, you have the NTSC version that run at 60hz.

It's basic knowledge that back in the days PAL meant games that ran slower due to 50hz.

Yes it's not a secret, you could have searched for it on the store page and people talked about it. You get MGS integrale.

I believe you can access the NTSC version by playing the version with the English (US) language (or Japanese).

You know if someone said "I have to download the french version because it's not the default version ?!" I would tell them the same thing I just did. So next time do some research first.

The game defaults to the regional version you purchased it in (PAL vs NTSC.) The other regional versions are available as DLC toggles so you don't have to download an extra 2GB of data if you aren't going to play those versions.

There is a US NTSC version available when selecting MGS1 but it was greyed out so he wasn't able to access it for the pre release copy. It will be available at launch and i'm 90% sure that will be the version that is the 60hz one.

It was probably not a very smart move by Konami to give reviewers the PAL version only but what can you do.

Ah yeah this makes sense, since he's Australian it just defaulted to PAL when he booted it up.

I did research enough. The MGS1 port in this collection looks godawful and its using an emulated PAL version as default.

I'm glad i won't be wasting any money on this. Unsub

It's the default BECAUSE THAT'S THE REGION THEY'RE IN. It defaults to your region. If you buy it in NA, you default to the NTSC version.

It looks like crap in general, MGS def got the laziest treatment. You can get the ~20 year old PC port to run in proper widescreen with a drag and drop fan patch lol. Or look at how it compares to just running the game on Duckstation.

Just hope MGS2 and esp MGS3 fair better.
