That's very inaccurate to say the least. The only thing really bad about it is the cutscenes, which are skipable anyway so...
Voice actors feel like they did not give a damn (Especially Jennifer Hale). The soundtrack is generic and forgettable, the controls are a mess, and the hastily thrown together MGS2 gameplay elements breaks the game.
The over-the-top ridiculous cutscenes is far from the only problem with Twin Snakes.
I wasn't saying it is the only one, but the biggest problem. About the soundtrack, there's a mod that replaces the new one with the original, I'm quite sure the mod could be ported to the PC version:

The same can be done with voice lines, it's just a lot of work, probably. Cutscenes, though, well... there's no way to fix them.
And you don't need to use MGS2 gameplay elements if you don't want to, right?
They won't, because Silicon Knights owned partial rights and went bankrupt about ten years back. Plus it has some Nintendo stuff in it that Nintendo would have to sign off on allowing to be included on other platforms, or Konami would have to modify the game to include something else. And even if it did get included, you wouldn't have to play it if you didn't want to.
I like Twin Snakes as an option because it gives you more ways to experiment with features and level design in MGS1, but I agree that the music, voice acting and cutscenes suck. That's why I'm excited for the mods being done. There's a mod being made to replace the dialogue and fix the cutscenes that should go along well with the music mod.
How? The idea is using the cutscenes from the original MGS?
My point is that Twin Snakes is objectively the worst way to play through and experience Metal Gear Solid 1, especially if you haven't played the original. Someone whose never played any of the games might start twin Twin Snakes because of the fancy new graphics and walk away with a sour taste for the franchise.
A lot of young gamers would disagree with that. If you show them both games, they'll certainly be more interested in playing TS and will consider it better than the original.
Anyway, it doesn't even matter if TS is "good or bad", fans of the franchise would like to have all games in digital format just like they do in physical format.
So you're finally admitting what you're doing here? Well... thanks, I guess.
It shouldn't be so difficult to understand my previous post. Try again.
Most likely because of the fancy new graphics and the MGS2 gameplay. Of course they're gonna think it's better if they haven't played the original.
Sure, doesn't matter if it's good or bad, but I highly doubt Konami is going to bother with all the legal stuff required to put the game on a non-Nintendo system, especially since it's generally looked down upon by a large part of the community.
