"My bad. Here's the video either way, though I was in a rush when I saw it last."
I was mistaken and I acknowledged it. The point I was trying to make is that if the switch could stream/run MGSV and play Doom: Eternal, it would have no problem running MGS2 and MGS3 considering they're less graphically intensive.
I'm not talking about emulation. I'm talking about a native port.
Edit: Never mind. I misread it. I'm an idiot.
Yeah, my bad. Shouldn't be on Steam discussions when I'm tired. Though that does make me wonder about VR Missions. You think it'll be coded to launch from MGS1, or just a separate menu option? And the more I think about it, yeah it makes sense that MGS1's emulation. The devkit for PS1 requires a much older operating system or a virtual machine to set up.
Makes sense. I love what can be done with proper emulation enhancements, but I also realize Konami's got a lot of projects in the works right now, so making MGS1 look perfect most likely isn't a priority. Hopefully they'll consider making it look better, but only trime will tell. PGXP or whatever it was called can do wonders.
Only time will tell. On the Steam page it does mention six text options and both English and Japanese audio, but I'm unsure if that just means we have separate NTSC-U/PAL/NTSC-J releases or one single version being released. However the size on what's initially loaded onto the switch cart makes me curious. Could be that MGS1 is the only game on the cart, but increased in size due to VR Missions and localizations being included. Whether that means it's one game or not is unknown to me, however.
Guess we'll find out more during TGS. At least it'd be a good idea for them to show off more during that time.
