Why are there no healing items in chapter 2?

I got some healing items as Ruka in chapter 1, and got pretty low on health during the fight with two ghosts in chapter 2, but I can't find any healing items in any of the rooms And since the fight with the little girl in room 207 starts with her attacking you, I can't progress unless I heal before going in there.

This game is more scarce with healing items because you can buy them at save points from the "trade" tab.

Unlike in Maiden of Black Water, Mask of Lunar Eclipse doesn't penalize you for buying healing items.
