Mission mode: Mission 1-2 Choshiro S rank

Can't tell if it's because my spirit stone flashlight is maxed out or what, but i've hit about 96k in points only to receive a C rank, which frightens me a bit because i could never get over 84k and still was at C rank. Is there a way to go about it, or have i just royally screwed up for upgrading all my stuff when i attempted it

Nevermind, just looked into the ''moon'' lense, and that should do it,

Moon and blow lens are for Ruka only. For Choushiro's missions that need high scores, you want to

1. Have the acquire upgrade from story playthrough.

2. Use charged up focus lens shots as much as possible to rack up points.

Acquire is just a general point booster, charged up focus shots give me like 64k points up close each time. I managed to S rank that mission with about 160kish total iirc but yes he dies in like 4 hits.

Even with his Lenses...I dont get the Points until 93k and Magaki died in the 7th Chain Shot...I hate this Mission so much...on the Wii back than it was the worst..need really Tips for it.

Nah i feel that, it's literally the last mission i need to S rank, and i cant use my focus beam until like 2 full charge shots on him, and the points system feels weirdly RNG, sometimes i hit 20k up close, then in the same up close position, i can just hit 17k. Doing my head in, i managed to get to 111k once but after that, the points were just not hitting the same even though i did the exact same thing with minor variation to hit the 150k needed

What I know is...when He is crawling you deal less damage, as he stands up and throw his Paint in your Face...I will try it even longer... (well I just play on PS4 but the PC will be play in the Future)

I found a reliable (but lengthy) strat to get S in this mission if you have the flashlight maxed out. Just accumulate as big a chain as you can and then finish him off with a close range Focus Lens shot. Took me around 20+ chain to get it. In order to get such a high chain without killing him you have to strike him with tapped (uncharged) shots to his side or back. If you hit anywhere but straight in front of him you will deal chip damage. The best way to accomplish this is to bait his lying attack, but keep in mind: Don't hit him until he finishes his animation, when you hit him he will automatically look towards you and if he is mid animation, he will hit you and break your combo.

I just 100%'d the game. For Choshiro score missions, it helps if you have the Acquire upgrade. Then, just bait ghosts into attacking & quickly go behind them/tap the flashlight button to do very little damage. Keep doing this to build a decent chain, then once their health gets low, hit them with a Focus shot for massive points & overkill.
