On easy/normal mode the pieces are numbered and makes it much easier; on hard/nightmare modes they are not. It's the same picture regardless. I've seen these 4x4 sliding puzzles in other games before and they aren't difficult once you know the basic mechanics behind them. If you need more help, there's some youtube videos on them as well, for example -

oh yeah then it's a pain since you can't be sure on which pieces should go where, kudos for sticking it out

it felt rewarding when I was able to complete it. It was annoying to go through it

I used this website to help me solve it. Saved myself so much headache. XD

I can relate. I played on hard, it took me a while but I got it.

I think I got lucky. Playing on hard and got it within 30 seconds.

It took me awhile to figure it out too. :P

- Once you load in a slide image you want solved (while also putting in how many rows and columns the slide puzzle has), and you click on crop image.
- On the next page you have to click (on the image on the left side) where ever the empty space is on your slide puzzle, so that tile turns white.
After that you click on the arrow in the middle to the image on the left appears on the right. - Next you click on 'Tile Selection Mode' at the bottom. That option now lets you click on the tiles on the right and move them around until you put the image to how it's supposed to be when you solve it.
- After that all you have to do is click 'Solve' at the bottom, and the website will tell you where to move you're tiles to solve the image.

Hope those instructions were coherent enough to help you figure out the website. XD
