does ANYTHING carry over from the first two games?

so far, nothing from the first two games, except a tiny bit of plot, has been shared between the first two games & this one. i know it was a new team entirely who made it but f#cking come on....

i want to play as MYSELF, the charecter I CREATED. the one i went the past 2 games with. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥...

The first team didnt expect to give up on making the last 2 games. If u got the mimes wedding ring, he gives u a key to use in episode 3. Which didnt happen with the original team, even tho u goto the bank in this game. The new team decided for some unholy reason not to stick to the original game design and switch to more of a final fantasy game :I. So nothing carrys over. Trust me i was pissed at this when i first saw this.

so depsite penny arcade going with the creators of call of cthulu & breath of death IV after the other creators went to go make a different game, they said '♥♥♥♥ it' lets make it completely different.

this is practically not even part of the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ series now then. same plot basis, where tycho & gabe go off to kill 2 all powerfull gods after killing the first two, but nothing to do with it otherwise.

The original developer that did 1 and 2 pulled out entirely. The series was completely 100% dead until Zeboyd picked it up. As Zeboyd is an extremely small studio -- as in, two guys -- it basically meant they'd have to use the engine they already had for Breath of Death and Cthulhu, which wouldn't have any way of supporting the character customization even if "You" played a role in the storyline (or if it did, it would have changed like ten pixels, which would probably be well within their sense of humor, but still).

relax cant take these games that seriously not much carrying over but in 3 or maybe its 4 there the free little prequal or whatever kinda talks about your character or rather the supposed pc.
