What counts as a "Hit"?
I noticed many effects are triggered on "Hit", but what is a Hit exactly? I know attacking an enemy and not missing counts as a Hit, but what about attacks triggered by other abilities, like the ones triggered on stand still?

It would be nice to have a section with all the terms used in the game, like Hit, Glory, Initial attack, etc. I know some of them are explained in tooltips, but having one place to find them all would be useful.

Its all quite "literal".

On Hit triggers will prock off of something that say it does a Hit or something that attacks and Hits
Oh ok, so "deals damage" doesn't count as a hit, right? I guess that's what prevents on hit effects to trigger an infinite chain reaction...
Correct!

I think this is the only one that isn't 100% clear just on the text. So remember Attack-> Hit -> Damage are all seperate triggers and the higher order ones will naturally trigger the lower (assumign the attack hits of course)
Attacks that land become hits, and hits usually deal damage, but not all things that deal damage are hits. Specifically, bonus effects are not hits unless they say they are hits.

I'm playing a poison druid now, and I deal extra poison + fire damage whenever a minion deals damage, but that extra damage is not a hit. That means I can't proc certain other hit-based effects off it, unfortunately.

If you check the tree for the Projection skill (I think Astral, or otherwise Psychic), you'll note that it has the word "hit" emphasized in color to indicate that this extra damage is in fact a hit.

So if you see the word "hit" it's a hit, and otherwise it's not.
Great, thanks people
