Jawhara: Has AOE that can hit everything in its line of sight. It scales with Speed and HP so it is not only tanky but it deals massive damage multiple times a turn. This absolutely destroys summon-based builds. If you have a melee build and are spawned without cover in a room full of Jawhara, this is also a terrible position to be in.
Mouth of Fire: Scales with Speed and HP, so it is hard to kill, hits like a high-speed train, and moves about as fast as one too. It is too fast to run away from, so unlike most other melee range enemies it is an actual threat. It also spawns in snakes. It is also encountered relatively early in the run.
Arbiter: Can be found throughout the game occasionally, but is always summoned by the final boss. Normally, they are tanky but not very threatening, as they only scale off of HP and armor. However, they also gain inflame for each minion you summon. The inflame DOES scale with cycle, and they can end your run if you have a summons-based build and carelessly let one hit you.
Firebird: Has retort, which retaliates damage every time you attack it. This will kill you if you have a multi-attack build and low HP.
Ruk-Thrall: An unassuming little guy that looks like a weakling but his Revenge ability will kill you if you carelessly try to rampage through them in melee range. They are otherwise not threatening outside of melee range.
Longlegs: They will get a free hit on you if you enter melee range. Their damage scales with cycle, so this will usually be a one hit kill. Don't get into melee range with them. They are not threatening outside of melee range, but they do have a lot of HP.
Slagh Rider: An early enemy which scales off of speed. Since you're usually still getting started at the time when you encounter these, you might be surprised when a pack of them blitzes across multiple tiles to shank you to death in a single turn.
And anything with chain lightning - those are terrors to fight as they will cut through any number of summons to kill you. I fear them more than warding enemies when I'm doing summon builds.
