That's strange. Check your Windows sound settings. Left click the volume icon at the bottom right, then open the Volume Mixer. Make sure TERA isn't muted.
You say you've even re-installed the game, so it can't be an in-game sound option but you could double check that your master volume isn't too low too.
Lastly, in case you lost sound completely, check your speakers' cables.

Do you happen to be using a tweaked S1Engine file?
i happen to be using one and its really giving me a HUGE fps boost (like made the game 10 times better in running) so i would rather avoid reinstalling the old s1engine file
is there anyway to like edit the sound back in from inside the s1engine file? like a true/false switch?
